About Steph Wood
Steph Wood has 13 years’ experience in building and maintaining businesses and programs in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors. As the Business Manager for NBA Skill Development Coach Ganon Baker (2001-2009) she was responsible for planning a National Skill Development Coaches Certification Event and assisted in the publishing of a 300 page Skill Development Curriculum. In addition she was responsible for planning and implementing workouts for Nike Skill Academies while participating as a clinician and camp director. As the founder of The Stronger Woman (2009), she single-handedly developed and managed this non-profit while traveling the country as a basketball clinician and speaker. She also developed the Southampton Storm Travel Softball Organization with Coach Sean Wade. Toward the end of 2009 she began work with Greg Scott, (Retired NFL Defensive Lineman) on his vision for Cover 3 Foundation, a non-profit children's charity. As the Executive Director of this organization (2009-2014) she developed and maintained all programs, wrote all grants and planned all fundraising initiatives. While at Cover 3 Foundation she was responsible for developing fundraisers, and writing grants and entitlement programs to the tune of 2 million dollars over the 5 years of her employment. Along with grant writing she was also in charge of developing internal controls and processes to execute programs.
Now, as a consultant and grant writer for Cover 3 Foundation she is called upon to assist the staff and board of directors with new and existing projects and fundraisers. You can learn more about her company at www.thecompanyarchitect.com.
